There’s definitely something to be said about a tangible change of seasons.

It’s not exactly a noticeable process here in Southern California, but I am always grateful for any sort of drop in temperature / change of scenery that allows me to see things differently. The other night as I was laying on my bed (and subsequently, taking a nap at 8pm – oy vey), I could literally feel the shift from summer to fall. There was a cool breeze blowing through my window, the air was drier than usual, and the light had different quality to it than that of just a week ago. And if loving fall is wrong, then I don’t want to be right. (But of course, it was nearly a million degrees out today, so I’m already eating my words. Typical.)

Speaking of change, have you noticed my new blog format? I’ve been looking for a theme that would fit these three criteria: 1. large photo sizes; 2. super minimal; and 3. the ability to turn it into a full-blown website / portfolio / blog shebang, for quite some time and fell in love when I saw this one. I’m already excited about all the possibilities I have in store for it.

I’m also in the process of rebranding my shop. I want to shoot new photos, make new products, create a whole new format. Basically start from scratch and breathe new life into the whole production. It’s going to take plenty of work, but I can’t wait to get started.
