project life – week one.
I am SO excited to be doing Project Life this year. As somebody who hoards papers, receipts, maps, tickets, etc from everywhere I go, this this feels like the perfect home for all of it. Yesterday I had such a great time playing with the layouts and figuring this thing out!
It took a lot longer than I thought it would (three hours!), but I’m pretty sure it will go much faster as the weeks progress. One thing I noticed was that I need more 4×6 photos. Filling those slots with strictly paper and words was definitely challenging. And another thing…I love vellum. It works as the perfect medium for including typewritten journaling without detracting from the photo or the overall design. I still have yet to create my opening page, but I trust that it will come together in due time (:
I feel like there are a lot of people getting on the PL train this year! Wahoo! Has anyone gotten started yet? If so, send me a link! I love inspiration!

Your first week is so beautiful! You actually make it look so effortless & easy! lol I love how your colors & everything coordinate, but aren’t matchy-matchy. It’s a really good mix. Mine’s kind of a mish-mash and I’m not lovin it, but hopefully I’ll get the hang of it as the weeks progress. Oh, and it’s taking me a long time to put this first week together too!
I totally love your PL week one! I can’t wait to see each week! I am doing a hybrid version! The first week is really organic (or you could say messy). I am liking my 2nd week much better, but my family LOVES the first week even with my chicken scratch! Here is a link to my WeeK One. Thanks, Amy

so, so gorgeous. I started pl and I love it way more than I thought I would. I started with random weeks from 2011 and am working my way up to this year. Just printed out pics from this week and am going to go for it.

Hi, I’m curious if you’re using any of the cards from the PL line or your own. (I’m sure you have a fabulous stash of papers in your studio.) I’m still thinking about whether to start PL – it’s still January after all, but am a little scared to jump straight into it. You’re an inspiration though!!!
Hi there! I don’t use any of the Project Life brand supplies, aside from one of the page protector styles. For me personally, it’s much more fun to dig through my own stash of papers and use those instead. But I know that plenty of people enjoy the convenience of being able to grab one and go. I think you should start! It’s not too late
